The Past Year
Despite the move of the college to Rushford Court, our club remains as strong as ever, demonstrated by many recent successes. Additionally, our novice program has seen a remarkable resurgence, attracting the highest number of novices since the pandemic, with at least three 4s from each squad advancing to the senior ranks.
The past year has seen all squads really pull together for the benefit of the whole club with our 24 hour fundraising row. With at least one crew on the water the entire time, we succeeded in raising £1170, which will go towards the purchase of a 4+, for the use of both senior squads.

We have also recently started using our own landing stage again, after a two-year hiatus and thanks to a very generous alum, and our college.

24 Hours on the River Wear
On the 11th of March 2025 at 10pm, 5 of Hild Bede's finest women took to the river, armed with only a boat, blades and dreams, and started the first shift of many. 22 hours, 11 shifts and 37 members later, 5 of the men's squad would be doing the same as they looked to bring the 24 hour row home.
This gargantuan effort from the entire club brought in over £1000 in the 24 hours alone, crucial funds to be put towards the upkeep of our fleet and the purchase of a 4+ in the not too distant future.
