Armitage Boat Club is the dedicated alumni association for Hild Bede Boat Club. Named after Vernon Armitage, the first Principal of Hild Bede, its goals are to maintain the relationships formed during college and to support the ongoing operation of the boat club, whilst having fun!

Based primarily in London, the club hosts a range of events, including the annual Armitage Dinner held just before Easter, as well as casual gatherings like meeting at Henley and the Christmas drinks in December. Additionally, there is typically an alumni table at the Boat Club Ball in February.

This year, we were lucky to be able to send out an alumni Op 4+ at Durham Regatta, who won their first two rounds, making it to the semi-final.

​

Alumni support is vital to the continued success of our club. While our fundraising efforts are strong, it is primarily through generous donations that we can invest in new equipment and continue to grow. We welcome support in any form, and while many of our alumni give generously, every contribution makes a meaningful impact.

• Lady Penelope - a Hudson Super Predator 8+ bought in 2019

• Icon - a Stampfli SV 4+ bought in 2015
